Rob Steward is a real estate development professional with 17 years of experience across institutional firms and every stage of the project lifecycle.
After building his career at three of the industry’s most respected firms — Hines, CBRE, and Hoffman & Associates — Rob founded Steward Companies in Raleigh in 2025. The firm was born from a clear market need: out-of-market investors and developers needed a trusted local partner with genuine institutional-grade capabilities, not just a local broker or generalist consultant.
Rob’s background spans development, retail investment sales, and construction owner’s representative services. He understands what it takes to move a project from initial concept through operations — including underwriting, community engagement and entitlements, design team management, contractor negotiations, construction management, and asset management.
Rob holds MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech.
